CONSUMER GARDEN

These images are of photographs of flowers made from plastic shopping bags that were constructed during the run of the Live Experiments in Human Energy Exchange exhibit at the Gallery at Green Street in Jamaica Plain (2006), and The Launch in Cedar Falls, IO(2008), as well as several other venues. Each flower was made by a gallery visitor, and then placed into a wood and foam form. At Green Street the form was a model of Biosphere 2, in Iowa it was the base of an inflatable rocket, and in Montserrat it was a form of Topsy (the elephant that ThomasEdison electrocuted to prove that a certain type of current was dangerous). There are over 400 images in the catalog.
